There is a friend of my little boys who's family have come to live in our local area for there own personal reasons and in doing so have hit hard times for no fault of there own. This is a loving caring family who I know well. This little lad is football mad and would love the chance the play for our local team. I have tried to raise the funds myself but I just simply cannot afford it. This money would enable this young lad to sign on and would also help me get the lad his kit, boots, shin pads etc for the next year. I have spoken with the little lads mother who is extremely grateful but is also a proud lady and who is simply doing her best with the resources she has.
I simply am trying to raise this money because I care and I know the family well. This makes my heart melt on knowing the fact that a little lad cannot play the game he loves because this wonderful family have landed on hard times. The club concerned have offered there help but I still need to raise some funds. I truly hope I am doing the right thing and not stepping on anyone's toes but no child should be made to feel left out just because of a situation that is out of there hands.
