Story
Soil of Amhara is a registered charity (1193420) run by members of the Concord College community. Even in times of peace young people have limited opportunities for employment. We work with local leaders to improve educational facilities and create sustainable economic opportunities. This year we are working as a whole school community to aggregate our miles on spinning bikes to travel 8800km across the Great Green Wall of Africa. We will also row (virtually) 400km along 4 great African rivers. Since last year's successful fundraiser the situation in Amhara has deteriorated into conflict. However, our charity is in it for the long term, wanting to show our care and support when hope is needed the most.
