We are doing the 3 peaks in 3 weeks challenge to raise money for FrienDS which is a local group run by Mum's, based in Wrexham North Wales, which provides support for families of children with Down's syndrome. They fund training events for school staff, parents and professionals on topics such as Speech and Language, Numeracy and Literacy, and Behaviour and Social Skills. We also fund parties and get-togethers throughout the year for all family members to attend which will be even more important this year. The children have not been able to socialise for such a long time due to COVID and vulnerabilities due to their disability, and they are missing each other a lot. They have no income other than the money they raise themselves and as it costs £350 for one half days training from a specialist in Down's syndrome you can see how important this money is!
