Sto portando avanti una raccolta fondi con la mia università, Northumbria University. Sono stato selezionato come volontario per andare in Zambia (Africa meridionale) nell' estate del 2022. Sarò parte di un gruppo di 6 volontari. Con la nostra passione, gioia e dedizione saremo accanto a numerosi bambini e ragazzi zambiani, cercando di fare la differenza e di lasciare un segno.

E’ un progetto di volontariato nell’ ambito sportivo. Crediamo che lo sport possa avere un' influenza positiva nelle comunità impoverite e può essere usato come strumento per potenziare i giovani e promuovere la salute fisica e mentale. Il progetto ha inoltre lo scopo di emancipare la figura della donna in Zambia. Per qiesto motivo la maggior parte degli allenamenti saranno solo per le ragazze Zambiane. Inoltre lo sport può aiutare a creare coesione sociale. Allenerò ed educherò dei bambini sul potere dello sport e come può aiutare nella vita di tutti i giorni. Gli sport che saranno praticati sono calcio, basket e netball.

Parte del progetto è portare avanti una raccolta fondi che ci possa aiutare a sostenere le spese del viaggio e per aiutare numerose iniziative benefiche in Zambia. Qualsiasi somma in denaro piccola o grande che sia sarà apprezzata e aiuterà una causa così importante.

I am Fundraising for Northumbria University as I have been chosen to travel to Zambia in 2022 as part of a team of 6 volunteers to coach football along with other sports and to hopefully make an impact on many kids' lives in Africa.

It is a sports volunteering project. We believe that sports can have a huge positive impact on impoverished communities and it can be used as a tool to empower young people and promote physical and mental health and well-being. It can also help to build social cohesion within a country. I will be coaching and educating the children on the power of sports and how it can affect everyday life. I will bring my passion, dedication, and joy to the kids that will take part in the sessions.

To help run this volunteering program I have to fundraise enough money to cover the price of our travel and to cover the price of other charity related activities in Zambia. Any amount of money is appreciated and will go to help such an important cause.
