    Story

My son Ifan & I are raising money for Shooting Star Cancer Support at the Wrexhan Maelor Hospital in memory of my beloved Dad. Dad was cared for by the Shooting Star Unit at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital for a few years. Your contribution will make a huge impact, whether you donate £5.00 or £100 every little bit will help.

Thank you so much for your support, Dad‘s funeral donations have already raised £600 from friends and family, we would love to raise more hopefully a total of £1,000. I have included some information about Shooting Star Cancer Support below.

Financial pressures on the NHS means it is simply not possible to purchase all equipment needed and to provide facilities as and when needed for patients. Your generosity will provide funding which enables them to purchase items which the professional staff working in the Shooting Star Unit need. This will allow the staff to continue to look after patients with the finest specialist cancer treatment possible in a caring, well equipped and comfortable environment. It will also help with prehabilitation a new programme being used to help cancer patients who are not fit enough to undergo surgery. The results are excellent with patients who join the prehabilitation programme becoming well enough to undergo life saving surgery and recover. .
