Hello, my name is Sarah ...I work part time, at weekends, helping with the Rehabilitation of Offenders. I also work as a mixed media Artist and as a Painter and Decorator offering an Interior Design service, locally in Surrey.

I have recently learned about a new charity called CLOCKWORK which set up in 2016 to raise money and awareness of Mental Health issues in youth and young adults in the Surrey area. I have an understanding and empathy of what Mental Health Disorders are, and how they can become disabling as within my field of work I have been trained in Mental Health and other related issues for e.g., substance misuse/legal highs/different forms of abuse/homelessness/domestic violence/bullying/bipolar/anxieties/schizophrenia etc, and through my work with Mental Health Services and with the Kent Surrey and Sussex Rehabilitation Team, I have become more aware of how complex and common Mental Health Disorders are in the younger population, how they can be exacerbated and more importantly how they can be identified and how individuals can be helped. It is so important that young people are encouraged to seek help. CLOCKWORK charity has been set up to help such individuals and to promote Awareness.

I am hoping to raise a minimum of £500 (possibly more), for the CLOCKWORK charity which was set up in 2016 in Oxted. I will be facing my own fears and and setting myself a personal challenge in the form of taking to the skies in a solo paraglide flight. On 7th March I will be undertaking a days training with the Green Dragons Flying Team based at Warren Barn, with the aim of flying a Paraglider independently and solo by the end of the day. If I am successful, I plan to continue and do the Elementary Pilot course and qualification.
