Story
Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer over a year and a half ago.
She received chemotherapy and radiotherapy in the UK but showed no signs of improvement.
Sadly, Amy was advised to discontinue treatment and retire to a hospice in London, because her cancer being extremely aggressive had spread.
As devastating as this news was, Amy remained positive, strong and hopeful. She did not let go of her independence, in pain Amy still insisted on bathing and feeding herself.
For those who knew Amy, they would attest to how private she was. Amy never wanted to be a burden to others, even throughout her illness. But for a handful of people who knew, Amy insisted on fighting her battle on her own because she did not want to be pitied.
Three weeks ago,Amy's Close friend and sister who had been with her from the beginning of her journey decided to alert Amy's friends.
Nya let Amy understand that she needed her friends around as her weeks wound down to days.
Amy was overwhelmed and very appreciative of all the love that was shown by those who rallied behind her in various ways. Amy passed away at the young age of 37, in the early hours of August 29, 2018 knowing she was loved and not alone.
Amy leaves behind her parents, her son Darell, three (younger) siblings, cousins, uncles, aunties and friends to mourn her.
Amy's mother was making travel arrangements to come be by her daughter in her final hour, alas, it was never meant to be.
Amy's body is currently in London UK and her mummy needs all the support she can get, to send Amy home so she can kiss her baby girl and first born, one last time before giving her a proper burial.
Please let's help Amy's mother find closure. No mother should bury her baby.
Thank you for your love.
