Story
Staff at Next Home in Falkirk are raising funds for an electric mobility scooter on behalf of one of our colleague's 16 year old daughter, Paige McNeish.
In November 2016, Paige had to have brain and spinal surgery. Paige is also hyper mobile and struggles to walk outdoors. She requires physiotherapy which has to be done at home as she is too weak to go to the hospital. She has been provided with a manual wheelchair but she needs someone to push it for her as she doesn't have the strength to do so herself.
Paige has recently started college three days a week, so a mobility scooter would allow Paige to enjoy and take full advantage of this new journey in her life. It would also help Paige's confidence tremendously as this has faltered hugely after the surgery and in dealing with this condition.
The electric mobility scooter costs £2500, which is unfortunately not funded by the NHS. So we are looking to raise £500 to put towards our total target of £2500, so that Paige can finally have the freedom of any other 16 year old girl.
