This page was initially set up to help Kierens family at this awful time to help with funds for the funeral but after speaking to members of the family they would like this money donated to charity as they are fine to cover funeral costs. I just want to say thank you to those who have donated so far your money is going to cancer research uk to fund further research towards to cure for this horrible illness. Again, I would just like to thank everyone for making this possible.

We're hoping to raise some funds towards the cost of a funeral for our much loved friend Kieren porteous, who sadly passed due to his terminal battle with cancer at the age of 22 leaving behind his family, loving girlfriend and his beautiful son. Any donation big or small would mean the world to his family. I know it's a big ask of people to spare some money even just a few pounds, but it really would be greatly appreciated and a huge amount of stress and worries lifted from his families shoulders that they now have to face. Kieren was such a loving, caring guy, & had everything to live for. We as a group of friends just want to help anyway we can to lift the money worries from his family and to make things a little more easier, and if we even reach the target or beat it the remaining money will be donated to cancer research uk. UPDATE : all money raised will be donated to charity his family have informed me that the funeral will be paid in full by them so I've changed the target to £200 thanks.
