Remember that NO child chooses to be in care. It is ADULTS and their behaviours that put children into care. Sadly, within the care system, children are constantly monitored & observed. They manage their emotional rollercoaster on a daily basis at home/school & with their peers. As a consequence, their BEHAVIOURS become highlighted as being the PROBLEM and they are left to pick up the pieces of their damaged world.

Having had a difficult start to life , we believe our Foster Children deserve to have happiness, normality and also the sense of freedom that many of us take for granted.

At SHINE, we are always finding ways for our children to achieve this and next year we want to give them a holiday of a lifetime within the UK and plan activities for them. We want them to have positive life changing experiences and help them to grow in their self esteem, confidence & well being. We want them to have cherished memories that they will have for the rest of their lives.

Children in Care matter and are often forgotten about. We at Shine believe that our children are the 'heartbeat' of what we do and TOGETHER WE WILL SHINE.
