    Story

"Stand Up" is a support group created by a group of parents who have special needs children. We offer coffee mornings & kids activity sessions for families who also have special needs children & also their siblings.

We fund raise ourselves to run these groups & offer them to the families for free. Every penny we make goes directly to the group.

We are putting on a Christmas party for all the kids & want to make it as amazing as we can for them. Some of these kids dont get an opportunity to attend events & parties like this.
We will have Santa there & want to give every child a present, we want a bouncy castle, D.J & maybe some christmassy characters too. Also to be able to decorate the hall into a winter wonderland for the kids would be the icing on the cake!

We are starting off in October with a sponsor walk, this will be done by our commitee parents & their children & any parents who attend our group who wish to take part too!
We will be walking just over 3 miles, starting from Derby road, northend outside St. Marks church where we hold our activities sessions. We will walk through northend, up to arundel street & across into commercial rd, back up to lake rd to make our way back along to northend to end back at the church. Along the way we will also have buckets to collect spare change for our group & leaflets to give out to let people know about us as well.

We are very excited about STAND UP!
we aim to get bigger & better!
We want to support special needs families & their kids! 😊

We have all struggled over the years & we have all supported each other through it in many ways.
We want to give that back to others, even if we can help support one family we've done the right thing!

Thanks for reading & please support us with a donation no matter how small, please share this fundraising page too, we will be very grateful.

    Thankyou
From all of us at "Stand Up"

I am a mum of 3 girls. My youngest is 8 & she is diagnosed with severe autism. This can make doing day to day things very difficult & sometimes even impossible. I started this group to help other families like my own.
