    Story

Authorities have been unable to trace next of kin or a will for Ian so he will receive an extremely basic funeral unless we can raise money to give him something approaching the send-off he deserves.

      Update from the Page owner

Thanks to everyone who helped raise £6,360 for Ian’s funeral – it’s a tribute to him. The funeral has been arranged for Friday October 2 at 3pm at Penmount Crematorium in Truro. We have booked a chapel and a hotel room to gather afterwards: 11 people have told me that they plan to attend and I would be grateful if anyone else who intends to come lets me know for catering. My email is sdonag9@gmail.com I would also appreciate any suggestions on music, readings or anything people want mentioned at his funeral. Plan is to split money left after funeral between children’s hospice in Cornwall, an animal charity and Streatham Redskins for a memorial trophy in Ian’s name.

Ian, you were such a kind hearted person, always checking in on others. You were the first person I met at M&S, filled with corny jokes and a love of dogs (and movies starring dogs). Farewell Ian...
