Soon I will travel out to Ghana for the second time. Last time, I worked hard with a charity called Thrive Africa to help improve the education of young people by building libraries in schools, I helped with sustainable development projects and helped out in an orphanage. This was such an eye opening experience that has compelled and empowered me to want to go back again and help out even more since.

Therefore this summer, I will fly out to Ghana to use my skills to teach children in a poor school, maths and Literacy lessons over the summer. I will be working alongside a charity called Pen to Paper Ghana who aim to improve teaching and facilities for schools in need around Ghana. Unfortunately, the children in the school that we are going to be working in currently have no toilet facilities. We are hoping to raise enough money to provide the children in that school with the basic facilities that so many of us in the UK take for granted. I think these children are just as deserving as ours/us and why shouldn't they have the right to a basic human right that many of us take for granted in this country?

Please help raise as much money as possible to make this happen. Any additional money that we raise can also be used to pay for extra resources for their classrooms such as desks, chairs, paper, pencils which they are also short of and have to make do without. Let's make their futures as bright as our children's as they are no less deserving.
