    Story

Many of you know that on the 19th March we had and lost our beautiful baby girl Thea-Rose Ivy Smith, born sleeping at just 38weeks. While we never got to hear her cry or see her smile, we did get to hold her, hug her and spend time making some precious memories.

Many of you have asked if there is anything you can do for us, and many have offered so generously to buy plants or funeral flowers. Instead of this we ask if you could help us to show our gratitude to some of the charities that have supported us and helped us through this difficult time by donating to this page. We will then divide the money raised between the charities who have helped and continue to help us and so they can continue to help others.

    These are:

SANDS- provides information on still birth from emotional support, medical information to planning funerals and legal information. I can not tell you how many times we have opened those booklets. The charity also provides a help line and support groups all over the UK.

Tiny Souls- A small local charity who came to the hospital to take professional photos of Thea just shortly after she was born to make sure we had pictures to remember her by. I remember at the time not being sure about this, but the lady who came was so kind and discreet and now I am so pleased that she did.

For Louis- A charity which provide memory boxes to hospitals so parents can capture as many memories as they can. This included a kit we used to take prints of Thea's hands and feet.

These charities allowed us to make memories with our lovely daughter in the short time we had before we had to say goodbye. We didn't need to think, shop, plan, buy, panic. It was just all there for us. The information we needed, the tools we needed, and amazingly a photographer who magically arrived just after she was born.

We have had so much support and hope that by raising money for these charities they can continue to support more families,

    Sarah and Rob xxx
