The Cornerstone Partnership is a social enterprise organisation working with families through adoption and fostering. Set up in 2015 by two adopters, we support, train and mentor families in all stages of their adoption and fostering journey. As part of our work we are writing and creating incredibly moving an powerful immersive films in VR to support and train professionals, parents and carers working with children in care. This has been having an incredible impact and we are now trying to reach out to as many families as possible.

To support us and help us achieve this aim, chairman of our board Anthony Douglas is undertaking a trek in Nepal in April 2018. He is aiming to raise £3,000 to help towards the work we do and support even more families. Anthony said: "The numbers of children needing adoption exceed the numbers of carers available. Adoption services need to reach out to groups of potential adopters who may be able to help vulnerable children. Today’s professional model may not work in the future. Innovation is crucial to future proof services. This is why I am fundraising for Cornerstone. I am taking ten days annual leave to make this additional personal contribution to help the children in care I have supported throughout the last 40 years of my career. This will always be a lifelong commitment for me."
