Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Wallops' Pre-School has had to temporarily close and furlough its staff. The government initially promised to contribute 80% of each worker’s wages, but have since backtracked on this agreement, and expect us to use our early years funding to cover staff wages. We are not entitled to business grants, or charity support, and the funding we receive does not cover all of our costs.

The Early Years Sector was already struggling financially, and the unexplained removal of this support puts our future at significant risk. In a ‘normal’ year we have to fundraise £3000, but we have already had to cancel several events, leaving our funds significantly depleted.

We really need help to raise much needed funds to secure the future of our wonderful and much needed community Pre-School. Thank you
