Our local Postman Tony James who has delivered our post in the Upper & Lower Hardres and Nackington area for approx 25 years, passed away recently after a battle with Covid. Tony always had time to stop and chat and knew nearly everyone on first name terms, he was a truly lovely man.
As a community many people have asked if they can leave a message and donate to help Tony's family through this difficult time.
Rest in peace Tony and thank you.

3 years agoI just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to Tony's fundraising page. I am aiming to close the page and withdraw the funds for Tonys family. This can take up to 10 days to complete. I will let you all know when this has taken place via the Lower Hardres & Nackington and Canterbury residents facebook sites. You may be aware the Kent Messenger Online has a news article supported by Tony's family today that is very touching.
