As many of you will be aware, last year William Tweed (“Tweedy”) was tragically killed. A 15 year old pupil at the Anglo European School in the village and a member of the local football team, which I coach.

His mum, Lorraine, is going to undertake this year’s “London to Southend” bike ride in his memory and is hoping to raise funds for the school as a “thank you” for all the support they have provided to the family over the last 10 months.

To “help” her with the 52 mile ride a few local families (including mine) are going to tag along for the day. Lorraine has never ridden anything like this distance before so it should be a real challenge.
