Story
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un - "We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return."
In the early hours of Tuesday the 12 of September, 2017, the mother of one of our ISOC sisters returned to Allah. She had been suffering from cancer.
I think I speak for every member of our community when I say that our heart goes out to the family who lost one of their loved ones today. We ask each and every person who reads these words to raise their hands with humility and love towards Allah, Lord of the Worlds, asking that He fills the grave of the one who has passed away with light, and grant her a peaceful sleep till the Day of Resurrection, and grant her the highest level of Paradise on that Day.
In this time of difficulty, we could at least offer something for the family of the deceased, by way of building 3 wells in her name, so that she may continue to gain rewards after her life has drawn to a close.
Abu Huraira (RadhiAllahu ‘anhu) reported: Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying: When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased). [Sahih Muslim – Book 13 – Hadith 4005]
We urge you brothers and sisters to donate whatever you can, be it £1 or £100, to contribute towards this effort. May Allah accept it from you, and may Allah allow the building of these wells to be a means of entering Paradise for she who has passed away.
To imagine what it must be like for a family to lose a loved one is something that brings tears to our eyes. But we are Muslims, and we believe that those we lose are never really lost forever. We will see them again one day, in the Paradise Allah has promised His believers, where we will live in their company for eternity, inshaAllah.
We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
