The Veterans Contact Point in Nuneaton are planning a memorial to acknowledge and remember the late Jesse Owen Royal Marine and former member of the SBS and later Warwickshire Police, who did so much for his fellow Royal Marines and veterans in Coventry and Warwickshire. Jesse died last year on 20/11/16 and his funeral was attended by several hundreds of people from the Armed Forces Community, including the Serving Royal Marines and his local branch of the RMA.

We are intending to place a memorial to the Commando Forces and to Jesse, in Riversley Park, Nuneaton Warwickshire. This will take the form of a Stone Monolith with a plaque dedication and hopefully suitably adorned with the Commando Dagger. Work has begun on this memorial and we are planning for completion by 17th December 2017.

Contact has been made with the serving Royal Marines via Major General Magowan and contact via the RMA/Royal Marine Family for attendance at the dedication ceremony on 17th December 2017.

We are asking for as many former members of the Commando Brotherhood to attend the ceremony and would really appreciate a show of "Green" support on the day.
