    Story

Special Constables and Police Cadets from Central Area Command, Northumbria Police have come together in order to launch their first ever Christmas Tree Project.

The project aims to provide gifts for specific children living in Newcastle where issues of vulnerability have been identified.

Christmas trees will be placed at Forth Banks, Byker, Gateshead and Etal Lane police stations and will be decorated with tags representing a specific vulnerable child living in Newcastle.

Staff and members of the community are kindly invited to attend the station, select a tag and purchase a present specifically for their nominated child up to the value of £10.

For those who wish to contribute to the scheme without attending a police station can donate money online.

We as special constables and cadets volunteer our time to work in the community and now we are seeking your help to assist in our project.

We want to show children in Newcastle that people really do care.

Your contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Although their £200 target has been met please continue to spread the word. The more money raised, the more vulnerable children will be benefit. Let's showhow kind the north east people are.
