    Story

At this time the demand for our work exceeds our current grant funding. We are accessing more young people and families with complex needs that we simply can not meet.

Most of whom are being failed by the system and society around them relying heavily on our project.

Unfortunately it’s not just as simple as getting another grant. For every successful grant we get, we apply for three or four unsuccessfully.

Given the odds, it’s very unlikely that grant funds alone can continue our activities and pay for opening costs.

We need to find new ways of funding so that we can continue providing crucial services for young people.

We always try to make our clubs affordable and sustainable but at this point without reaching out to the public for donations our project will face closure.

What we do at Your Ideas:

We provide alternative provision for children as young as 5 who are excluded or on part time timetables failed by schools. Provide nurturing and emotional support, coping strategies and alternative curricular provision outside of the mainstream systems.

We offer support for children and young adults (ages 6-25) with high functioning Autism up to 45 a week during 3 a week evening clubs.

We offer a weekly youth club where we young people can do arts, crafts, cooking and sports based activities. We regularly have 25+ members that attend from the local community.

We have an open door policy for young people who access the project and support local young people who are facing crisis. We have worked with local homeless youths to get them into employment and back into housing.

We go above and beyond to provide parental advocacy and support where we are able so that help is available and relevant as soon as it is needed.

We work alongside the Up Foundation to support and deliver football sessions weekly for up to 60 young people. Providing opportunities for all to feel included and enjoy a sport with other local young people.
