We are raising £5,000 to Jacobs Treatment. Taking part in numerous activities and events to raise money for Jacob. We are completing the Three peak UK Challenge, Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (Lake District), Snowdonia (Wales), in 24 hours on Saturday 22nd June.

Jacob is a funny, outgoing, mischievous 5-year-old who has a life-threatening condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy 2 (SMA2) which means he will never crawl, stand or walk.

Jacob was diagnosed with this devastating, life threatening condition at 18 months old. This condition requires 24/7 care for Jacob, his daily therapy consists of intense physio, stretches, leg callipers to help him to stand in a standing frame, breathing treatments to help him cough as SMA also effects his respiratory muscles.

SMA slowly destroys the muscles which will lead to him not being able to sit, eat, swallow and eventually breathe!

The family have found a clinical trial in Belgium which is proving beneficial to Jacob in all aspects. They travel there every month, so Jacob can receive his treatment.

They were once told that Jacob would not be able to write his own name, ride a bike, swim or even sit himself up. Thanks to the treatment he is now receiving all the above are now possible for Jacob and feel extremely lucky to be a part of this clinical trial in Belgium.
