The Northern Stars CSC Triathlon with a Difference
"Wish us luck, we're no Olympians !!" - The Northern Stars
The Northern Stars are set to undertake a unique physical (and mental) challenge, taking the form a ‘Triathlon’ with a difference. The challenge will involve all of the team members undertaking a 2,627ft HIKE, 12 mile CYCLE and 5 mile KAYAK all in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District National Park.
Fund-raising will involve personal and corporate sponsorship of the event, with individual sponsorship incentivised by offering free entry into a 'grand prize draw' for a minimum pledge of £5.
Prizes for the draw are being donated by local companies, suppliers within the CSC supply chain and the Northern Stars' personal contacts. Training activities are underway for this challenge, which is planned for October 2nd 2009 (depending on local resources).
