Here at Towergate Risk Solutions in Bournemouth we have just completed a 24 hr Exercise bike-a-thon, there were 2 bikes and 2 teams with approx 40 people cycling for 28 minutes at a time, our aim was to cycle 1000KM between midday Friday 18th April and Saturday 19th April however we completed 1700KM at midday on Saturday 19th April !!!

** Bernard Pike & Mark Maidment our underwriters -  started our fundraising week by walking in to work on Wednesday 16th April -   this might seem normal to some of you, but they have walked from Bernie's home in Swanage in to our office in Bournemouth !!  Leaving at home at 6.05am arriving at the office at 9.55am. This added mileage must be worth your support !! **

We aim to raise £4000 for Julia's House to help sponsor a carer.  Julia's House gives the families a chance to spend time with other siblings, go shopping or simply have a rest.  All the things that the rest of us take for granted.  Most of the children have progressively complex medical needs.  Their care is intensive - 24hours a day 365 days  a year, this 24 hour bike-a-thon will help towards providing this care.

Chris Jarvis, CBBC Television Presenter & Local Patron of Julia's House popped in to support us along with Jane Errington, Corporate Fundraiser from Julia's House -  a huge thank you to both of them. 

Thanks to all the team at Towergate Risk Solutions Bournemouth and our guests, including Alex Bourne, Julian "Charity" Palmer, Jon Buchanan and Tim.  It was hard work, but a good time was had by all !

A well done to Jo and Steve Head (Husband and Wife) who completed the furthest distance in 28 minutes !!
