We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

In a bid to support my wonderful wife Sara I have (for the first time) decided to participate in a fundraising exercise raising money for the National Assc for Colitis & Crohn's Disease.

Sara is my personal hero, having put up with a great deal of pain & discomfort over the past 10 years or so. Those of you that know her well will probably have never heard her complain or moan about her colitis, but she has endured and suffered whilst at the same time - just got on with her life, never creating a fuss or drawing attention to her illness.

She has given us our wonderful daughter Mimi, and is already back at work doing what she does best – Heading up the Make-Up Department for Holby City at the BBC – whilst juggling everything else in her home life and keeping everyone happy. For this reason, she is in my eyes, the bravest most incredible woman I have ever known, and my admiration for her cannot be put into words. I would now personally like to do my "bit" by supporting her and her Colitis by raising money for the charity that counts in her life.

Please would YOU help support the NACC by sponsoring me and making a donation.

I am proposing to cycle over 4 days in an organised endurance bike ride along the French Riviera in May 2006.  I will be cycling approx 55 miles/day and traversing up and down mountains to an elevation of about 3,300ft (1000m) for a total distance of 215miles (345km). For those of you that know me – I am certainly no fitness freak and started my training this week…..and believe me I need a lot of it!

Any donation you make will make a difference – please give generously.

The easiest way to make a donation is to do it online, it’s far easier than taking a form around with me everywhere:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease - NACC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
