Domestic abuse can be the single worst thing that a person can experience. However, it doesn't just stop at the person experiencing it first hand. It can also affect those close to that person such as children, family, friends and even colleagues. Some are lucky to get out of their situation whereas others may not have the support they need to do so and this is where The Dash Charity can play a big part! They help support with social services, court hearings and accessing counselling and other services people need to help them through the bad times.

It’s been proven that exposure to domestic abuse before the age of 4 years can affect their brain development and long-term life chances
