I did it !!!! I finished with Guy (my friend & training partner) in 5:16:06. That was 26,683th out of a field of 37,000. However I was 3,412th in my age group - "the old fossils" (so that sounds a bit more impressive - doesn't it ?!!!). I beat Gebresalasse though so that can't be bad !
