As you may know I was diagnosed three years ago with Chrons Disease and last April unfortunately underwent emergency surgery for a second time to remove part of my intestine.

This was a very difficult time for my family and myself .

Following the surgery I spent some time in intensive care and left hospital on Sunday 13th April 2014 - 4 weeks after the surgery and also the day of the 2014 London Marathon.

i made a pledge then to run the 2015 Marathon

And so one year on, despite several set backs I am about to fulfill this pledge and will be at the starting line on Sunday 26th April to complete this gruelling 26.2 mile marathon.

Chrons is a longterm chronic condition and as yet there is no cure for this debilitating condition.

I will be running under the auspices of the Gentlemen's Night Out charity to raise funds for both some very poorly children and for research into this
dreadful disease with Chron's & Colitis UK.
