Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. The everest base camp trek is arguably the most famous trekking route in the world. The trek will give me an insight into the lives and culture of the Sherpa people combined with a journey into some of the most breathtaking scenery. It is expected to be a tough trekking challenge - with temperatures that could well get down to -25 degrees in the evening ! In total i will cover approximately 120 km and climb a total of 4215m. The highest point being Kala Pattar at 5545m. Kala Pattar is just above Everest Base Camp (5329m) and will provide spectacular views of the Khumbu Glacier and the highest mountain in the world. A great opportunity for some amazing photo's...! I'm undertaking this adventure to raise money for Sense - the National Deafblind and Rubella Association. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sense gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now! Thank you very much for your support. David
