Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I ran the Flora London Marathon for the second year running on 13 April 2008 in aid of Demelza, Hospice Care for Children. Having finished in just over 4 hours and 22 minutes last year in extremely hot conditions, my target this year was to finish in under 4 hours and... I JUST managed this, finishing in 3 hours 59 minutes and 5 seconds despite some heavy showers. It was a much more enjoyable experience this year so thank you to all who have sponsored me to-date.

Demelza runs the only Childrens Hospice in Kent and Sussex (based at Sittingbourne in Kent). Demelza aims to provide support to families who have a child with a life limiting condition. My nephew, Thomas, regularly stays at Demelza House and also receives outreach care at home from Demelza. Demelza House needs to raise £3.5 million every year through voluntary contributions as it receives no funding from Health Authorities or Local Government.
