Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I will be taking part in the Mazda London Triathlon on 1st August 2009 to help UNICEF try to make a difference in the lives of the millions of children worldwide affected by HIV and AIDS.

The money I raise  will support UNICEF’s ‘Unite for Children, Unite against AIDS’ campaign, specifically helping the work UNICEF is doing to support orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Almost every minute of every day, a child dies of an AIDS-related illness and four young people are infected with HIV. A staggering 15 million children have been orphaned by AIDS-related causes and many are left to care for younger siblings.

For as little as £14 UNICEF can identify a child who had been orphaned by AIDS and provide him/her with basic health care, proper nutrition, school uniform and supplies, as well as psychosocial support during times of distress.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: UNICEF UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
