On the 18th January 2014 I will be running a 28 mile coastal trail marathon in Wales, climbing approx 2,300 feet over trail and fell terrain. I have chosen to raise money for Greyhound Rescue West of England as they do an amazing job. Greyhounds are good natured and loving dogs who make amazing companions, and yet despite this they are often subjected to brutal and horrific treatment when they are no longer of use to the racing industry. Every year 10,000's of greyhounds are abandoned, mutilated and 'disposed' of by the race industry. Any donations, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated by a very worthwhile cause, and make a real difference in helping Greyhound Rescue West of England continue to care for and re-home these wonderful dogs.
