For those of you that know me well I have a passion for bikes but normally this involves baggy shorts, 27 gears, mountains and an average distance of 20 miles per day, (due to my passing years). I have now agreed to don lycra, ride a bike with very skinny wheels which has only 18 gears and cycle 100 miles a day for 4 days in a row. This will be a huge challenge for me.

My current training has got me to a total new high of 22 miles in one go as of 31^st May so only another 78 miles per day then and only another 5 weeks to train before the big ride!

Children's Hope UK

A family of 5 live in one room of less than 18 sq ft. They share one bed and have no running water. Education is their life line from poverty. To qualify for the program, family income is less than £20 per month.

The charity provides education from age 11 through to University, along with additional support for the family by way of medical care and vitamin supplements. All for approximately £1000 per child!!

Malnutrition is the most common cause of illness among children, and also an important factor for underperformance in schools. Fashion Peddlars contribution has resulted in the introduction of the Nutrition Program for the first time.

40% of illnesses are preventable. Most families cannot access the healthcare systems. Children’s Hope provides a comprehensive healthcare program; over the years this support programme has also saved many lives.
