On Saturday 15 May we walked 40 km (25 miles) on the South Downs in support of MacMillan Cancer Care.

We know first hand that MacMillan do a fantastic job in supporting suffers of cancer and their families and wanted to raise money to help them to continue with this invaluable work.

Our training paid off and we finished in 9.25 hours, which included about an hour's rest breaks altogether.  The weather was perfect and the views and lovely countryside kept us going.  We can honestly say that we enjoyed it, despite a few aches and pains in our legs afterwards :o)

We're proud to have raised £1,130 which has been matched by Legal & General making a grand total of £2,260!

A massive thanks to everyone who's supported us through sponsorship and encouragement - we're now thinking about our challenge for 2011!
