One day I thought to myself à What would our lives be like if we decided to show up and live them?

Too many people postpone things that make them truly happy because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their priority list, or are too anal retentive to depart from their schedule.

We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect. The days go quicker and our master dream list gets longer. One morning we wake up and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of shoulds, oughts, musts and have tos.

So this is what I decided à Expect more than others think is possible. Dream more than others think is practical. Afterall...if you can dream it, you can make it so.

I hope this goes some way to explaining why I’ll be running next Sunday and also why I’ve chosen this particular charity – after all not everyone is as lucky as us.
