What a day 26th April 2009 turned out to be! The predicted rain gave way to sunshine and scorching temperatures. Perhaps not ideal for the runners in the London Marathon, still, the weather helped to create a carnival atmosphere.

It was a fabulous day and I managed to complete the course in 4:03 (2 mins ahead of Gordon Ramsay) and I’ve got a medal and the sunburn to prove it.
