Story

Thanks for visiting the Reading Chronicles fundraising page.

On Friday 8th October we (The Reading Chronicle Team) will be giving up the warmth and comfort of our own beds for the second year running to take part in Byte Night ,Big Sleep Out. For one night only the team will be sleeping under the stars on the streets of Reading. We will feel what thousands of children and young people feel every night when they have no bed to go home to.

It is a shocking statistic that still today in 2010 over a third of all new cases of homelessness are young people aged under 25. Action for Children believe that all children and young people deserve better than this and so do we.

By sponsoring us today, you can help change the course of a young life.  For example, a donation of just £25 could keep the doors of one of Action for Children’s projects open for one hour, helping them reach out to young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

We, like everyone else understand that times are tough, but times are even tougher for the children and young people Action for Children supports.  Now more than ever they need your support.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Action for Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Dig deep and  please sponsor US!

Every penny helps!
