£30=ANNUAL TUITION for a primary schook kid in Nepal!
How many kids do you want to sponsor?
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the "2008 Everest Base Camp Trek Challenge". Accenture and VSO co-organised a 20-day expedition next February to raise money to help kids in Nepal to go to school.
According to the latest iternary, we will firstly visit an orphanage and a schoolto understand how all the donated money to be used. From Mar 1st, we will consecutively trek 14 days through pine forest, Sherpa villages and up among the snow-capped peaks, reaching the Base Camp (5300m=17,000 feet) and Kala Pattar (5545m=18,188 feet). We will normally trek 6-8 hours a day and in some days we have to trek about 10 hours a day. Even though there are Tea Houses on the way, the operator advised that it’s warmer in the tents. There will be a shower tent available but we were told not many people would use it as it’s too cold. This means that we will have NO proper shower, decent toilet, and warm/cozy bed for at least 14 days.

BTW, Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Voluntary Service Overseas will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
