Story
Many of the seriously wounded British servicemen who return from Iraq and Afghanistan are treated in Headley Court, the tri-service Rehabilitation Centre.
Help for Heroes is organising a 350-mile cycle ride starting on 26 May 2008 to help raise money for Headley Court. The route starts at the ferry port in Caen and leads to Dunkerque - riders will then join others in London to finish at the Cenotaph.
As a weekend cyclist I am ill-prepared but if I get a sore bum and stiff legs it will be nothing in comparison with some of the life-changing injuries our servicemen are coming home with. This is definitely not a jolly – northern France is by no means as flat as it appears on the map!
I would be really grateful if you feel able to sponsor me as I have no doubt that your individual contribution, large or small, would help to spur me on to the finish.
