Story
On 18th November 2010 Diana lost her three year battle with kidney cancer; a disease that 6200 people a year learn they have, and yet a condition that rarely attracts much public attention.
It is the mission of the James Whale Fund to try and change this; and has been set up by broadcaster James Whale, who lost a kidney to cancer in 2000. Today he lives a full and busy life as do many whose kidney cancer is diagnosed and treated early.
We know that many of our friends and acquaintances wish to pay their respects, and as such we are encouraging people to donate to the fund, which aims to help reduce the incidence of kidney cancer by increasing knowledge and awareness and by supporting research into the causes, prevention and treatment of the disease. The Fund also provides a vital support network offering advice, information and encouragement to those who’ve been diagnosed with kidney cancer and their carers.
Diana will be remembered as a vivacious, kind and fun loving person who was truly special. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, but most of all by a family who love her very much.
Please help us prevent others from experiencing her suffering.
