Hi all,

I will be attempting to complete what is said to be one of the toughest endurance tests devised ( see my attached email), this is all in order to raise funds for the Dame Vera Lynn School for Parents.

As you all know George has physical dificulties and the support and conductive education methods taught by the school have been amazing to say the least showing us the great things children like George can achieve with the right support.

They receive no funding and the free service they offer is vital to families like us. This is obviously a charity very close to my heart, myself Charlotte & George would be very grateful for anything you can donate.

Conductive Education is an active education aimed at the development of learning. It is a unique holistic approach to meeting the child's complex needs. The primary aim is to develop an active personality.

Ingfield Manor was at the forefront of developing Conductive Education in the UK. Conductive Education was pioneered at the Peto Institute in Budapest, Hungary, and its principles were first brought to Ingfield in the seventies.

- Specially equipped classroom
in action! -

In the School for Parents the principles are applied to the families' daily lives at school, at home, and at play.

They are taught with and through parents and incorporated into the children’s routines at home.

Conductive Education achieves active purposeful movement and empowers the child to make choices, to become independent....

.. and take responsibility for themselves.
