Why am I doing this?
In 2001, my father was diagnosed with Cancer, for which he was treated and made a full recovery. Then in December 2006 my mother was diagnosed with Cancer and all of last year she went through the agonising treatment, which included both Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy.
Many family members have been affected by Cancer, so I have decided to do a charity bike ride from my parent’s home town of Romford to Holyhead in North Wales, as this was our regular family holiday destination when we (including siblings) were younger.
It will be a gruelling 300 mile cycle, which will be done from Monday 28th July 2008 and finish on Saturday 2nd August 2008.
