On 13th April 2008, I will be running the Flora London Marathon for the 3rd time!! I have decided to run in aid of two charities; both of which are incredibly important to me and whose causes lie very close to my heart.

• The Honeypot Charity, who works to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers in the UK, by supporting their social development through respite care and a programme of long term support at the beautiful Honeypot House, located in the New Forest. • The Maria Falco Memorial Trust is a breast cancer charity set up in memory of Maria who lost her battle against breast cancer just over two years ago. Maria began raising money for research and clinical trials for new drugs at two local hospitals, The Princess Alexandra, Harlow and St Margaret’s, Epping.

The charity continues to raise money for research and is in collaboration with top global pharmaceutical companies in search for the new 'wonder drugs' of the future.

Their aim is to open a respite centre for patients and their families, dealing with breast cancer and undergoing the harrowing treatments, providing these patients with a ‘home away from home’ – a friendly and caring environment that offers a real sanctuary including holistic care.
