As many of you know my lovely sister-in-law, Mandy, died last year. Her last few days were spent being cared for in a hospice like St Francis, in Yeovil, Dorset. Government gives a measly 20% towards their budget bu 80% has to come from us! To survive they need £2.8million per annum. It costs . £25.00 for oxygen to help a patient breath for 1 day - they get £5 from the state. £30 for a walking frame - they get £6.! £150 fpr Tens Machine (pain control), 1 day of a Community Nurse, 6 sessions of Counselling Breavement for a Child - They only get £30!, 24hours nursing care £400 - they get just £80!.
