As some of you may know, back in April 2007 I ran the London Marathon for the Mental Health Foundation.

In 2009 I will be making a comeback. But this time there is a difference - I will be running the Marathon dressed in full costume as the King of Rock 'n' Roll himself, Mr. Elvis Presley!

Again, I am raising funds for the Mental Health Foundation. This is a cause I really believe in - given the extremely high prevalence of Mental Health issues I believe that they deserve to have a much higher profile (from local GP level to our entire national consciousness). For example:

* 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in any one year;

* 1 in 6 of us are affected by depression at some point in our lifetime; and

* Suicide remains the most common cause of death in men under the age of 35.
