Story

Hello dear friends,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hope you are all well. Here I am again ready for my 2016 challenge. I can’t let a year go pass without a challenge ;-)...

This time I will be walking in beautiful Isle of Wight in aid of Steve Sinnott Foundation which organises the full event between 13th and 15th May. It is a 32km (19.884miles) walk with lots of dedicated, inspirational people who are committed to providing and supporting access to quality primary education for all children in the world regardless of age, gender, sexuality, politics, religion, disability or ethnic group.

Steve Sinnott was General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers covering England and Wales and unfortunately he died in 2008 while still in office. Steve was a passionate advocate of accessible education for all children. He often described education as the great liberator. The Steve Sinnott Foundation was established in 2009 to maintain the impetus of Steve’s work to promote and raise awareness about MDG2 (United Nations Millennium Development Goals). The Foundation’s purpose was Steve’s passion – to promote Education For All around the world.

Please help me to fundraise to support this great passion of Steve Sinnott and help vulnerable children to access education.

Thank you ever so much for every penny you donate, it means a lot. Please do not forget to tick gift aid if you are a tax payer so we can raise 25% more for the charity.
