Story

Hi!

My name is Emilie and I'm planning to trekking upon china wall in October 2010 for NDCS (National Deaf Children's Society). I need to raise minimum £2,080 to cover travel expenses and minimum £2,600 to rumble the barriers down for young deaf children to access this world.

I am doing this because I am deaf and BSL user (British Sign Language) so I understand young deaf children's struggle to achieve in this difficult world. Like in mainstream school, they would find it difficult to achieve as they couldn't focus without technology support and CSW's (Communicate Support Worker) help. Also, many babies born deaf in hearing family therefore their family, without experience and aware, would struggle to support them without help.

I'm very lucky to have a wonderful family who support me in every way as I grew up in this world, so I want young deaf children to have similar support.

So please sponsor me

Thank you
