Story
We (Emily, Hannah, Claire and Jo) are committing to 26 hours of tech-related activities (including but not limited to gaming) between us on Sunday 26th April to help fundraise for Soundabout.
This charity helps enable people with severe or profound learning disabilities to communicate through music. It believes that everyone has equal opportunities to engage with music, and its activities include delivering music-making sessions for people with learning disabilities and their families and carers; holding inclusive choir events; delivering training to teachers, teaching assistants, parents and carers in Soundabout's interactive communication methods and much more.
Many charities in the UK have lost out on funds and income through cancelled events and so, to help them continue, they have come together to set up The 2.6 Challenge: Help Save the UK's Charities. The 26th April was booked as the date of The Virgin Money London Marathon and would have raised millions for thousands of charities. Soundabout has partnered with this initiative and we are proud to support it.
Soundabout is so important to its beneficiaries and we would love to raise anything we can to help. Music allows everyone to communicate and express themselves and really does great things.
Please do consider sponsoring us, any donation helps (it doesn't have to be much!) and we really appreciate it! Thank you very much!!!!

Save the UK's Charities
General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
