Fundraising for SOS Children's Villages UK
Story
Dear Friends,
My 4 days old son Ibrahim is fundraising on a very special occasion to support a special Charity SOS Children's Villages UK with their Orphans Villages in Baku and Gyanja project.
Well, Ibrahim can not run a marathon or ride a bike around the globe or climb the highest mountain at his age, No, what he is going to do is much more challenging and important than all of the above combined!
Ibrahim is going to sacrifice a (small) part of one of his most precious body organs and have it circumcised!
My male friends will appreciate the SIGNIFICANCE of this sacrifice!
But Ibrahim just doesn't want to stop there! If we achieve our fundraising target of just £1,000 by Thursday, the 22nd May 2008 (this is when the astounding event takes place), Ibrahim will also shave his HEAD!!!
Please do not try to repeat neither of the above at home as it could be very dangerous! It is only little Ibrahim who is brave enough to do the both on his SEVENTH DAY!
Now about the Charity. I think the job they are doing by providing Care and SHELTER to hundreds of kids in Baku as well as over 60,000 children worldwide is praiseworthy!
